Gwertzman, Lefkowitz, Smith & Sullivan is seeking a talented attorney to join our growing Subrogation team.
The firm is a boutique law firm founded and continuously operating since 1929. With a strong and growing client base of property and casualty insurers, the firm pursues property subrogation in state and federal courts in New York New Jersey and Connecticut.
Responsibilities include independently handling a case load of subrogation matters at all stages, including managing and evaluating property claims from the onset of loss, coordinating the investigation, retention of experts, identifying potential theories of liability, litigating to claim resolution and client reporting.
The firm offers a motivating compensation package specially designed for subrogation work.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience handling property subrogation and/or litigating property damage cases. Bar admission in New York is preferred but not immediately required. The firm is on a hybrid work schedule. The candidate does not need to reside in or in the vicinity of NY to be considered. Remote positions will be considered for the right candidate.
